Business Development Manager
Experience Range: Minimum 5-8 years of E2E experience in selling / Business Development IT products and services preferably in
AI/IT domain

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans: Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies and tactics tailored to the Japanese market. Drive the execution of these plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize market penetration.
- Drive lead generation efforts: Develop and implement lead generation strategies to identify and target prospective customers in Japan. Utilize various channels, including digital marketing, networking events, and partnerships, to generate leads and expand the customer base.
- Cultivate key customer relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners in Japan. Understand their needs and preferences to effectively position our products and services and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in Japan. Use this information to identify opportunities and threats and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance: Track sales performance metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance and market trends.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations: Ensure that all sales activities in Japan comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Managing complete sale cycle from opportunity evaluation stage to successfully closing the deals.
- Carry out market research through industry contacts, publications, and other sources to identify ideas for growth and leads.
- Identify and create business opportunities in industry verticals and thereby promote sales and marketing.
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Understanding client requirement and making proposals.
- Make calls, present demonstrations of our Products and convert prospective leads.
- Approach decisions makers & influencers to articulate Service offerings, value propositions and qualify prospects on the phone.
- Follow up on customer’s enquiry and leads generated.
- Ensure new business development opportunities are explored with existing clients.
- Take responsibility for sales pipeline and forecasting and achieving set sales and revenue targets.
- Very good in building long term relationships with C-level stakeholders (new and existing customers).
- Updating the company on changing online marketing trends so that the company can prepare and regulate plans accordingly.
- Proven working experience as a business development manager /sales executive or a relevant role.
- Some International working experience or exposure to Business development in US / Middle East / APAC would be an added advantage.
- Candidates with exposure to IOT / Manufacturing / Finance domain preferred.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Demonstrable experience in deal with high-level negotiations.
- Experience in customer support.
- Excellent time management and planning skills.
- Need to travel across locations for client visits.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in AI/IOT technology or software industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Deep understanding of the Japanese market, including cultural nuances, business practices, and customer preferences.
- Fluency in Japanese and English languages is a must.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results under pressure.
- Experience working in a global organization and collaborating with cross-functional teams is a plus.
