We are looking for a Technical Product Manager who can take ownership of the product vision, roadmap, and execution.
Role Overview
As a Technical Product Manager, you will act as the bridge between customers, business, and the engineering/design teams. You will be responsible for defining product requirements, prioritizing the backlog, and ensuring timely releases. In a lean setup like ours, you will wear multiple hats – strategy, execution, and customer-facing – while working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Identify market opportunities, conduct competitor research, and bring customer insights into planning.
- Requirement Gathering & Documentation
- Interact with clients, sales, and support teams to gather feedback.
- Create user stories, wireframes, and detailed product requirements.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
- Execution & Delivery
- Work with engineering and QA to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Balance scope, timeline, and quality within the constraints of a small team.
- Support sprint planning, standups, and release management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with design/UX to ensure usability and customer experience.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing for product positioning, demos, and launch material.
- Provide release notes and training material to internal and customer teams.
- Customer & Market Engagement
- Participate in client calls, product demos, and roadmap discussions.
- Track feature adoption, usage metrics, and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally.
- Additional Contributions (Small Team Flexibility)
- Support basic QA, documentation, and customer onboarding when needed.
- Contribute to go-to-market initiatives and product marketing content.
Requirements
- 6–15 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or software delivery (preferably in IT product/SaaS companies).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and backlog management.
- Excellent communication skills – ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience in SaaS, B2B products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable with data-driven decision making.
- Ability to work in a lean environment with limited resources and high ownership.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., English + Japanese) will be a strong advantage
Nice to Have
- Experience in a startup or small product company.
- Hands-on exposure to tools like Jira, Trello, Figma, or analytics dashboards.
- Prior customer-facing experience (pre-sales, consulting, or client engagement).
